Carson Raymond Field Proposed Lights Project Funding Complete!

Northside Awarded Baseball Tomorrow Fund Grant To Light Carson Raymond Field

The NCRL Board is excited to announce that Northside Baseball has received a $41,000 grant from The Baseball Tomorrow Fund to complete the funding for our Carson Raymond Field Lighting Project.

The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) is a joint initiative between the Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball designed to promote the growth of youth baseball and softball throughout the world by awarding grants to support field renovation and construction projects, equipment and uniform purchases, coaches training material and other selected program expenses.

With the awarding of the grant, NCRL has raised the required amount to complete the project.  Additionally, we have received approval from the school system to begin the project on March 29th.

We have worked closely with the schools to best leverage Spring Break to minimize disruption around their campuses.   We expect to complete the lighting project by the end of April.

Thank you to all our players, families and benefactors who supported our fundraising efforts.

Avenue Realty - “Carson Raymond Field Home Run Challenge”

We are excited to announce an exciting promotion with Avenue Realty for the Spring Season. Darian and Amy Cochran, co-owners of Avenue Realty and Northside parents, will donate $50 for every homerun that leaves Carson Raymond Field this Spring. They have generously guaranteed a minimum of $1,000 (promotion is capped at $1,800). To get a homerun officially counted, take a selfie with your Home Run ball in front of one of the promotional signs hanging in the Carson Raymond dugouts or the Avenue Realty banner hanging in the outfield. Send your photo to murray.gene@gmail.com. Each week we will post the pictures to our Facebook page and update the league on our season count towards $1,800. Darian and Amy are also going to donate $750 each time a Northside Family uses Avenue Realty to buy or sell a home. Additional details can be found at the “Snack Shack. We want to thank Darian and Amy for their sponsorship and commitment to Northside!

Opening Day Information - Saturday, March 25th

Northside Opening Day is just around the corner!
Join us as we kick off another great season at Northside. Opening Day ceremonies will take place on March 25, 9am to approximately 10am at the Carson Raymond Field. We will celebrate players in the Junior Rookie through Major Divisions. T-Ball players are welcome to join us, but are not required to attend.
Players should arrive in uniform no later than 8:45am and find their coach in the outfield. Every player’s name will be announced. Players will have the chance to meet a special guest. We’ll end with the National Anthem followed by the ceremonial first pitch. Players are encouraged to attend and show their league spirit.
In order to make this event a success, we are in need of volunteers to help organize and direct the players on the field. This is a great opportunity to get in some, if not all, required volunteer hours. Please contact volunteer coordinator Cheryl LaRosa if you are able to help. Time commitment will be from 8:15-10:30am.
Thank you for your commitment to our league!
