The Baseball Company is offering a Spring Break Camp

THE BASEBALL CO.
SPRING BREAK CAMP
Join The Baseball Company for our annual Spring Break Baseball Camp for ages 7-12!
This year's camp is April 4th-8th from 9am-12pm at McIntire Park.
In this camp, we will be using group and individual based instruction for all skill levels and abilities within certain age restrictions. No matter if it's your first year getting to know the game or you are a seasoned veteran, our camp has something to teach you. Dividing the groups into different skill levels, mainly by age, we will first start learning perfect fundamentals before moving on to more advanced techniques within the game. We will be covering everything from proper warm-up, hitting techniques, fielding, pitching and catching.
A number of our instructors from The Baseball Company will be running this camp. They are more than qualified to work with any player, regardless of skill level or position. We understand that building a solid foundation must be accomplished before adding more advanced techniques and thought processes to attain a high level of play.
Each day a new schedule and new drills will emerge to keep the interest level peaked to encourage a positive learning environment. At each days end we will also play controlled games on the field for the players to show off the new skills they have learned in a real time game environment with real situational game play.
Please join us at McIntire Park, and get in those extra reps to aid in your players continued success this season.
Limited spots available!

Beginner Tball Coach Needed!

Attention All T-ball Parents
We are excited to start our T-ball season; however, we are still in need of one more volunteer coach to lead a Beginner T-ball team.  We would really like to hear from you if you can spend one hour per week during the evening time to lead a practice and one hour on Saturday mornings to facilitate/coach the actual game.  No prior coaching experience needed.  If you are unsure about what or how to teach the game, we can help you.  The joy and smiles you will bring to these younger ones will last a lifetime. Please email Steve Yow, T-ball Commissioner, at steve00yow@gmail.com as soon as possible, if you would like more information or would like volunteer.  Thanks for making Northside a great baseball experience!

Volunteers Needed for Evaluation Day - Sunday 2/28

In an effort to make this Sunday’s evaluations process easy and fast for our players, we are seeking volunteers to help organize the players as they arrive and wait for their turn on the field. 2-3 volunteers are needed for each session to ensure the process runs smoothly.

Please contact volunteer coordinator, Cheryl LaRosa, with your availability by 4:00 pm Saturday 2/27. Indicate your name and the session(s) you are willing to help with (ex: Major, A-K or Major 10:00-12:00). Plan to arrive approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled time and check in with Cheryl.

As a reminder, each family is required to volunteer at least 2 hours during the season. Why not get some or all of it done before the season even starts? If you are already planning to attend evaluations with your player, this is a great way to help out while you are at the field.

Thank you for supporting Northside!

Player Evaluation Day Details!

Thank you all for your patience. With the favorable forecast of sun and warm temperatures we’ve opted to hold evaluations outside this year on Carson Raymond Field, located adjacent to Sutherland Middle School.
We conduct evaluations in an effort to build balanced teams and need accurate data to accomplish this goal. This is a mandatory event for all Junior Rookie, Rookie, Minor, and Major Players! Please make every effort to attend at your designated time. If you cannot make your assigned time, please contact us so that we can be prepared to handle the change on evaluation day.
Players should show up at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time to warm up and lineup.
Although not mandatory, players are encouraged to wear cleats. They will also need a bat and glove and we encourage everyone to bring a water bottle.

Player Evaluation Day Information - Sunday, February 28th

Attention Northside Families! Player evaluations for Jr Rookie, Rookie, Minor and Major divisions will be held this Sunday. Evaluations are MANDATORY for any child playing in any of these divisions. In years past, we've scheduled for outdoors and then scrambled to move inside when the weather failed us. This year, we've planned for the opposite and are still hoping for favorable weather. We have TWO plans to cover both scenarios, and will be keeping a careful eye on the weather and forecast. We hope to have a final decision by this Wednesday, February 24th. Here are the two contingencies so you can start to plan.
If the current forecast holds and we have sunny weather, with temps in the 50 degree range, we will hold evaluations out on the fields at Hollymead from 10am-3pm.
10am-1130: Majors
1130-1pm - Minors
1-2pm - Jr. Rookie
2-3pm - Rookie
If the weather forecast for 28 Feb should change, and it is too cold or wet outside, we will be holding evaluations indoors at the Sutherland Gym from 3-8pm.
3-4pm - Rookie
4-5pm - Jr. Rookie
5-630pm - Minors
630-8pm - Majors
More detailed information will be available later this week. See you Sunday!
