8U & 12U Tournament Team Tryouts & More

8U Tournament Team Tryouts

Chris Guyton will be managing a rising 8U Northside Tournament Team for Machine pitch (players born 5/1/06 or later living within Northside’s league boundaries are eligible for consideration).

The team will focus on skill development and having fun.  The team will normally get together just once a week on Sundays for either practice or game.  The cost for the team (if any) will be determined at a later date based on actual number of games and uniform costs.  Activities won’t conflict with regular Northside Fall league play and players are encouraged to sign up for Northside’s fall league in addition to being part of this tournament team; Northside’s regular Fall registration is available now.

If interested in being considered for the 8U Northside Tournament Team, contact Chris Guyton at chris.guyton@gmail.com and/or attend the first gathering on Friday August 22nd from 6PM-7:30PM at Carson Raymond Field.  The fall experience will run each Sunday from August 31st through end of October.  Chris will let folks know who made the team prior to practice on August 31st.

12U Tournament Tryouts

Tryouts for the 12U Northside Tournament Team will be held on Hollymead Lower field on Tuesday August  12th at 6:00 PM.  Email us if you need more information.

Rookie Sandlot Opportunities

Northside is offering machine pitch sandlot games (designed for players in the Rookie division; players born between 5/1/06 and 4/30/08).  Game dates & locations are as follows:

*  8/11 @ Carson Raymond Field from 6 PM -7:30 PM
*  8/19 @ Hollymead Lower Field  from 6 PM -7:30 PM
*  8/21 @ Baker Butler from 6 PM -7:30 PM

The recommended ages are just a guide. If a player’s age is outside of the born date window, but would like to participate, then he/she should come on out and play.

There are no costs to play in these games.

Please make sure you call the Northside information line at 434-980-1256 prior to coming in case Sandlot is canceled due to weather.
